I write for print and online media in the US and Europe, with credits including MSN.com, Forbes Travel, Urban Farm, and AOL Travel. I mainly cover arts, business, design, travel, food… but have reported on everything from concrete to cashmere.
I prefer the cashmere. Concrete is more useful for laying a path, however.
Formerly an editor on a group of international business publications, I always strive to make my editors’ lives easier with on-deadline, on-target stories that entertain and inform readers.
“As always, good to commission you, when the results are inevitably reliable and focused.” “Thanks so much for the feature, it’s great, just what I was after.”
I’m a member of the American Society of Journalists & Authors, and the Society of Professional Journalists.
I also offer coaching services and manuscript critiques for writers, and online writing seminars with my author husband Sean Murphy.
My service blog Albuquerque on the Cheap won the New Mexico Press Women 2011 award for a special interest blog, and has been voted by readers into the Top 5 Blogs for Albuquerque The Magazine’s Best of the City Awards for the last three years.
One of my all-time favorite projects was interviewing 60+ national and regional authors in the five years I hosted the award-winning literary chat show Writers on Radio, broadcast in New Mexico and Colorado on NPR-affiliate KRZA and syndicated to other stations.
I’m a London gal, now roaming the Wild Wild West, and still enjoying the adventure.
